sorry for the downtime, i had serveral things to do at work, at home ....
so i had no much time to write here and make pics

but i'm back again and here are the pics for now

i have drilled serveral things for the side panel, e.g. some circles for the corner and the motor in the middle ...

furthermore i filled the gap bitween the shock rifle and the panel with acryl

'bondo' is car-filler. He's referring to the paste you're using to make the forms on your panels.

    sidepanel update #7 - Paint and UT3 Logo -

    hi

    last week i made holidays
but this week i did the logo and the paintjob of the other sidepanel

i cut the "3" for the logo, this is the 1st fitting test
    [IMG]

now i sanded the acryl, in order that the color stick
    [IMG]

and painted the acryl with my email color in red and black
    [IMG]

during drying the color, i cut the "U" of the logo -> the new version is bigger than the old one
    [IMG]

    now it fits
    [IMG]

i also cut and mount the half-circles of the sidepanel
    [IMG]

    this is my superglue
    [IMG]

    the mounting ...

    it's done ;)

so, the color was well dried
    [IMG]

after painting the sidepanel analog to the other, i put the logo together,
replaced the old smal "U" with the big one and made the first test
    [IMG]

    So far, so good.
    cu ;)
