It'll work. It'll be about like aircooling but it will be quieter. Just make sure you run the fan on high for gaming.

We've quoted the peak TDP's - if it can dissipate the energy at max, there's no need to alter anything between idle and stressed.

To be honest, I think the best thing to do is have a 120.2/3 rad on the top or bottom of the case. :)

    new data
    http://processorfinder.intel.com/details.aspx?sSpec=SL9UM
says that the q6600 is 105w
so that gives me a 240 watt of heat between the two.....
I think I can still give it a try

load output would be 240w of heat ( water temp... 37.9 Cº)
    typical (water temp 30.8 Cº)
    iddle (water temp 27.2 Cº)
all this with a fan at 12v (fan 90m3) and a room temp of 24º
so this should give me a good all around temp for the sys...
I remind you that I would not be overclocking but integrating all the cooling in one solution

Is there enough space to mount it on the bottom of the case and then get some larger feet to lift it up a bit. I know it will fit in a Lian Li PC60 but I don't know about the Wavemaster.

    nope
the radiator is in the top of the case and it blows out the top....
the thing is that I'm wondering if it would be better to just cool the gpu and put on the memory pasive heatsinks....

I'm not sure how you got the water temp figures, but I predict that on a single BIX, 12V fan and 24C room temperature you will get temps closer to 42-48C.

the water temps I,ve got them from the innovatek power calculator... they are a aprox so they should be only as a reference... anyway I'm only cooling the gpu and not the memory or the mosfet of the video card.
nexxo thanks alot for all the explanation and all the feed back,,, you are one cool cat!!!

I think Innovatek may be exaggerating its figures a bit --even though it makes very efficient waterblocks. I'm sort of extrapolating from my experience: a BIX dissipating about 230 Watts with a 69CFM 12V fan.

240 Watts can be done, but my feeling is that you won't get 30 to 38C. Nevertheless 42 to 48C max would still quite decent temps. The only way to know for sure is to try. :)
