 What do you mean? How I glued the Fittings or what do you mean?
I should have some close shots of the fittings but none showing me ripping the car ;)

This was the same I got in my german regular forum. I'll have a look after them...

 You need help which pump etc to use? Sorry, I have no idea what you mean :D

Really nice project, that sure is a huge case. What will go inside? Thousands of hdd's, a couple of motherboards or just the biggest cooling world has ever known? Tell me tell me. And keep up the good work. Subscribed.

Achne, der Bär auch hier? Herzlich willkommen :p

@KlavKalashj: Well... I have space for everything but I think that the most space will be unused while the case standing near the desk. I am thinking of use the Space for my monitor, mouse, cables etc when I might go to lan.
I've even thougt of a pimpy x-box-controller-holder wich isn't able to see when not using it.

When you'r playing a racegame or so u can open that board with a biiiiiig grin on your face :naughty: :jawdrop:

I am thinking of a huge reservoir too wich is filled by gas cap or so...or the door opening by car handles...

Well as I said: That are all ideas, even I don't know which will be final :wallbash:

The current pump is a Laing DDC Plus but im not sure. It has power as hell...very impressive.
The firt pump I had was a Eheim Compact 600...cheap (16€) but well...a bit to tiny...
The DDC costs about 70€ and has much more power...~3 times more.

The problem with the right pump is that it has to 'start' the circuit because 'falling' water is sucking water 'up' so it's no problem in you haven't a restrictive circuit as I have.

To find the correct pump you have to check what kind of pump you have to choose.
A lot of jet-coolers, ankles etc may damand a powerful pump.
But if you want to cool just the cpu with a nonrestrictive cooler the compact is well too...

You have to handle it ;)

I'm sorry for answering so late. Well... how 'I' made it...ehm a freind of mine had the copper-block and drilled a line in 's' or 'u' form with a dremel... :dremel:
Then heat the block with a gasburner, melt solder. Then we took the brass-cap and psitioned it upon the hot solder...

really easy but the optic is not so well... :-/

To fill the ~2 liters of water easily I have designed a filler neck in C4D which might be build by the friend who made the cooler too.
    www.abbacab.de/deckel_promo.zip

Those little dots are for the tool to open it. Otherwise anyone can open it and thats not good.

The shrinking-tube and the xlr-plug arrived a few days ago. Due to a lack of solder I have no result to show :sigh:

Well a tiny but effective update:

I've remade my video-cooler so I'm not annoyed by the Zalman-fan which has a quiet scratchy noise...horrible :brrr:

So I've gooles a picture of a GeForce 6600GT an photo-chopped it and designed a cooler in PS

Click here for the german development log and see wich steps I did and so on.

As many aren't firm in germal I'll translate the steps into english tomorrow.

    So...lets see the pictures:
^--The small pattern to watch if it might work...and it seems to do so but I hat to lengthen the overlaying (?) part

Lacking of a few pictures while building...uhm...solderring that thing I have a few pics of the result. I've made some pix with my handycam but I'll up them tomorrow and I fear the pictures are noisy and blurry. I know a few parts are dirty as hell but that are the places the sandgrinder didn't reach an have to be cleanes manually...but my plans are to paint it black and maybe do a little milling on it...I don't know.

Jou may recognise two grey dots at the backplate...well...they're my fault because my brain messed up and wasn't able to imagine how the cooler will be mounted but no problem...a 'little' bit solder, an aluminium plate and a bit of flux fixed it fast.

Jeah but the green doesn't fit in color. The green of the motherboard has a bit of yellow but...wayne :D

Here come the missing pictures, created during soldering the cooler:

The cap with the realdy soldered frame, we created of small cooperstrips wich we cutted/ filed/ bended. looks def (?)

    The bottom - roughly cutted.

The 'pattern-card', a dead Gainwarf 6600Gt GS wich is producing many colorful squares. :/
    [IMG]

Drawing and positioning the screw nut.

Test if the brass screw nuts fit...and they do.

Drilling of the holes the water flows trough...sadly on the wrong side :/
    [IMG]

That means redrill everything...this time on the right plate... :D
    [IMG]

...and clowing the wrong holes. A part of alloy to prevent the solder's floating around and 'glueing' where it doesn't have to 'glue' and a bit of flux to make the solder 'glue' in the holes'

We prepared the top with a grey paste wich leaves a little solder after heating. Then we created a solder-'path' with 'real' solder. Strange to say it doesn't float over the drawn line.

After everything cooled down we've batched all parts and positioned the screw nuts. Now the ******* has to be heated as hell wich was realized with two gas-burners. The solder melted (? correct form of melt in the past?) and thats all.

Well, everything's done now, the flux is smoking a bit and after cooling down we can go over to the...

...closeness test. Screwed in the fittings, a bike pump and Power. My mate and me were betting if it's close or not and at 4 bar it's close. I was very impressed because there are ALWAYS one or two leaks. We've highered the pressure to 5 bar and...hah...we got a tiny bullbe. A tiny one but a bubble.
In one of the 'solder-knobs' were a tiny leak which was easily fixed. Now it's really close.

Well...all done yet so we began to clean that thing a little bit wit a sander...the parts the sander can't reach have to be cleaned manually :-/
    [IMG]

So, hier sehr ihr die Karte das erste Mal montiert: Gewinde geschnitten, Schrauben gekürzt (könnte man noch ein wenig Weiterkürzen) und das Meiste geschliffen.

After a slight long break I've tested how to fix the flextube on the connector.
Ist cutted a piece of an old PSU and experimented.

I think I'll do it that way:

Sanding the outer part of a wire, shrinking them together with glue-containing shrinkings. Then wush the flextube over the shrinkpert and reshrink it again witch glue containing shrinkings.

Below are two pics to preciese my bad *ucking english ;)

    Looks quite well.

And I have to look for a box wich can implement my old PSU.

A half year of updating noting:

I have (?) my internship to be able to start my study in fall. This am I doing in a vehicle constructing company. There we - better I - have machines no 'normal' man has.

We've cutted a 2mm steelplate and edged the ends.

Then we welded a few dots to see, if the powersupply unit fits well.

Seems as if it does it ;)

In my mainforum they said it's to flat. So, we edged the 'bottom and the top so that the height gains 10-12 millimeters.

    STEEL SUXX

    Hard but true words.

You remember the status quo? The next day after that post I tried to weld the sidepanels. One was to short or whatever, I don't remember but i know Ive cutted it because something was wrong. Angerday number one. Starting, lots of welding finishing with nothing.

The next day I measured the height of the case, cutted new sidepanels, welded them again...and: theyre to heigh. WTF??? So I took the angle grinder an a few seconds later the height equals. Then I took the cap and...W-T-F????? I've a gap!!! Now I remembered I Had measured the height at start ;) So I had to weld on the cutted parts. After grinding the created bow i took the cap again and tried to make it fit for round about two hours.

It became clear that the corners weren't in 90 degree... it had a touch of a paralelogram. Angerscale:150 on a 180 scale. Ah...and the cap was 2 mm to short. So i tried to lengthen it by welding 2mm on. Tiny notice to myself: Don't weld on concrete :) triing to lengthen i by setting dot-beside-dot shortened it. Angerscale 170;)

So I tried to cut it, and reweld a bigger part of steel. After cutting the ork finished - I was doing that during the internship - I drove home with the ighest level that day - 180. I told my roommate how steel sucks an what kind of problems I had. I was cursing how steel sux and told him I NEVER change my ideas I had. (The steel was my rommmates idea)

So I cutted some mdf yesterday and finished up like this:
