Serious Sam 1 for teh win. Ejecting the cd and not closing the drive once the game has started works as well as a NOCD crack.

Me and Bauul and my GF had a blast in first years of uni on this. Play the first three levels on Co-op for a warm-up and then if she's bored just jump to The Great Pyramid. A nice solid arena fight that is so much fun it's unreal. The game has a great sense of humour too and the secrets can be both easy to find and hilarious (Yodelling enemies are my favourite) On Mental Difficulty all the enemies are invisible too which makes for some fun gaming.

Besides, once the massive arena is over you get to fight the 1500 ft boss monster in a mad run to the Pyramid of Giza.

 

and to think of the three serious sam games the first one is the easiest
