    i like the Music, very epic.

    hopefully we can see something by Mid may and i can get a cheaper 8800gts or a better HD2900xtx

    It's quite ironic, seems some people are now waiting for the R600 just so the 8800 is reduced :)

    EDIT

    Just a follow up to my earlier posts regarding the benchmarks.

    Apparently ATI have said that any 2900XTX benchmarks going around are fake, and the real benchmarks will be seen around May 14th or 15th...

    One thing that does seem true is that ATI recommend a 750w PSU for the 2900XTX. Damn.

    Damn... I just bought my XFX 8800 GTX because I thought the results were somewhat true... and ATI got spanked =( ah well... I'll be happy :)

    TBH that was a pissant test/review. They tested at ONE resolution, didn't tell us dickall about settings, and gave us a whole two "killer apps"

    Omg! Lyke the HD2900XT will run SpecView GREAT on my 5 year old 17" LCD :(

    Let's see some quality, c'mon Bit-Tech, we need one of your epic reviews!

    i think that is bull, you cant even see the control panel telling you what the system specs are.

    PhotoCHOP!!!!

    I am not saying the HD 2900XT will be slow, but i dont think that is a really benchmark at all.

    For all we know it could be quicker.

    Probably about as trustworthy as the Daily Tech article, as the numbers in the Daily Tech just don't add up when compared to other cards and the results of one day's benchmarks to the next.

    I just hope they have some reviews for the midrange ati offerings, but I really don't expect them to come till the end of may.

    :confused: I'm expecting perf to be on a par with nVidia but pricing to be more competitive, except for the mid-range as the GF8600 should be easy for them to beat. HD2900XT/XTX on May 14th with mid-range 2 weeks later. All just my guess though.
