And then she added something for me ^^

    The first hole cutted roughly

The metal saw blades was not exactly top quality, but it was the only one that broke :)

Got pretty sweet! Just missing some sanding with p400 - p1200 wet, ill take it tomorrow.

Thats the pics, now for the plans.
Me and my girlfriend have discussed a little, and she want it to ble a blue theme on the case, not a green! The reason for that is that my girlfriend and i thinks the green plexi will light up too much, the plexi is just to light! If it had been darker, like on my sketches it would be perfect! But blue is awesome that to, and i had a sheet of 5mm plexi for my other project behind the desk, so i will borrow that for now. Some other things, no engraving at right side, either on top, but maybe ill add something else on top, a window or something. Im removing quite much of the plans now, but i will say that we had a kick at the beginning, everything would look cool, and nothing were difficult.

Its still going to be a 3mm sheet of plexi at the left side of the hdd-rack, beyond that, no further plans.

Plexi behind the Power- and Reset-button will be tested tomorrow, to see if it looks good or not. Was thinking of a round plexi bit behind each button instead of the rectangular on the sketches, but will se.
No plexi at the LEDs like drawed, and PCI-brackets and the Reset-button will most likley be polished, just have to get cash to buy the right tools, and money isnt something i have right now :p

There you got it, the plans for now. Woundered if i could make 4 round plexi bit to the feets under the case, som the plans are not 100%, but its close.

    Comment and discuss below.

    Regards,
    Øyvind

    Side Panel! Part 1

    Update - 12.05.07

Right now im about to finish the side panel, just have to glue the plexi on with epoxy. Some shots before the final update on the side panel.

A few shots of the side panel, finished sanding the edges! Cool, or what? :)

Quite happy with this cut, did not want to remove the holes, so it turned out well!

Then i had to cut the plexi for the panel..

.. and after about 5 or 10 minutes, i had this one. Before that i broke all my blades, someone could still be used, but no good quality on those!

Finished with the first plate, had to cut it up again because i forgot the wentile holes when cuttint the first time, but no worry.

Sone shots with the plexi behind

Here you can see that i have trimmed the first plate, and added a new plate of plexi to make it fit. Turned out very well.

Some epoxy for gluing the plexi to the side panel

And then we did some shots of the plexi with UV light, looks really cool!!

I wouldn't take blue letters for your logo. blue in blue in blue is a bit difficult for my poor eyes :D No, really, I'd change it to something else. nice work though, the plexi looks great in UV!

asked my girlfriend about that, no way! she said :p

But i have absolutely NO idea on what i could do there! If the pc would have been watercooled, its easy. Then i could put the tank there, i have been on the though of just buy a tank and place it there, with water, but it will look a little stupid :p

For the plexi on the power/reset button, i have to adjust a bit more on the sides before its finished. My girlfriend thinks it ok, but i know i can do better.

The side panel turned out very well! The plexi is still on, but got really mad on myself when i discovered one or two more scratches on the side! Not so big, but i know that they are there, and that is enough. Will work on the project tomorrow.

And thanks for all comments! Appreciate it.
