If the CD has less threads per length than the HDD, than it's probably threaded 6-32. I can't remember which is which, and I'm too lazy at 2:30am to open the case and look If the HDD has less threads, than the CD is the other one, and I can't remember it's thread count
*EDIT* stupid me, did,'t see the 3th page :d , DETN8R why don't u take the cd drive with you, go to the store tell them u need screws that fit for the holes and buy them as long as you need
I think god8y meant to take the whole cd drive in with you. Then you would know for sure if the screws would fit.
yeah but i think he readed my old post that i edited, since i didn't see that there was a page 3 already
Yeah, I seen the post before you Edited it. Im going to be heading down to Home Depot today to get some more screws(hopefully the right ones this time) and to Price some plexi if they have the right size, im going to a different one this time. I expect it to be $15-$20 for a piece around 18inx24in because a piece of 1/8" plexi costed $10 but thanks to the new girl at Home Depot I got it for free.
Got the right screws for the CD-Rom, it was 4-40 thread. Seen some 1/4" lexan at home depot for around $25 today and Decided to give this local company a call tomarrow.
no, she was frustrated because it didnt have SKU number and her line was getting huge so she walked it out the door and said "here, my line is to long". Ubermich: im guessing 18inx24in
Is hte case finished yet? would like to see picz because i am intrested to build my dj gear in those kind of cases but i wonder how i would secure them to those rails :dude:
Yeah i did that after i posted this (stupid me ) Can u explain to me how u actually hold the corners together (I couldn't figure it out) because i'm planning on making a lanbox and stuff where i throw in all wires, screwdrivers, .... in case something happens
I tapped the holes in the extrusions and put a screw in and then place the extrusion on the screw and tightened it therby holding the extrusion in place.
