    Hi you guys.

I was wondering, if it would be a bad idea to build a LCD screen straight into the side of a midi-tower?

    Thank you :)

Use Linux and put the money you save to more mods.

    Sounds like a good idea.

I've mounted a 15" TFT I got from eBay (for 7€) on the side of my old computer.
It was so cheap because the inverter was broken (replaced it with one of those CCFL inverters).
Since I bought that screen for just 7€ I got an idea.
Why not get at least 4 screens of the same size and build a cube case... with TFT's as walls!
I haven't started with that, so if you want to build a TFT into a case and still want to do something new, you might want to build this TFT cube yourself ;)

And to really make it special put a small webcam on the inside on all 4 sides so you can still look inside:D

no what you need to do is the james bond trick with the invisible car you mount the camera on the opposite panel to the screen so that it shows the picture as if it wasn't there.... the left panel would show the picture from the right webcam and the right panel would show the picture from the left webcam as if there was no case there.......

Depends on what you want to show on the 4(5) screens.
If you want a nximum of 2 different pictures, you can use one video card and split the cables so that the two pictures (modern video cards can connect two VGA screens) are shown on the 4 monitors.
If you want a different picture for every screen you need at least two video cards with dual screen support (if u have 4 monitors, else 3 cards to get all 5 working).
I don't know if windows can handle multiple video cards, but Linux can!!
