It should work if he has been careful with it.

    HDD windows won't work!!!

The position of the cover is aligned to an accuracy of +- 0.02 microns and then they screw it in, so unscrewing and rescrewing kills that alignment.

Also HDD's are made in cleanrooms (not the little box we make at home) even smoke particals can get stuck between the read head and the disk surface.

Sorry for this reaction in your thread Jegerjon but just to prevent an discussion here.

Anyway looking good what you did with the HDD, can't wait for the pump mounting, and the monitor;)

I've tried that and I didn't like the outcome.... getting a new one. LOL
There will be HD errors you have never heard of. The tracks will be off. Data will be lost. Not to mention that fact that a spec of dust will look like a car heading for a bolder. These things are put together in a dust free environment. They have special HVAC to clean the air just for that reason.

Tale Gunner @ lol, hope my little home-made box will make it. hehe And thanks :)

Yes indeed they are. Looking forward to the next update :) How much more needs to be done before the project is done?

    Best regards Stubkier

wbdog203 @ yeah, that's sad.. But anyway, thank you.

Stubkier @ Not much, today I'm going to finish the pump mounting, and then I just has to make the cover which's going to hide the motherboard, the backside of the front and the radiator. Also I've been working on the waterblocks, and I bet they'll look very good when I get them finished, an update about that later. Anyway, the end is near :) ooh, I almost forgot the awesome screen bass designed for me.
And then a little note, I think I'll order a Logitech diNovo Edge, it does just fit the case soooo nice...

    thermalnightmare47 @ thank you. And agreed :D
Tale_Gunner @ Thank you. I like your mod.

    Update 28 – Pump mounting @ Saturday the 16st June 2007.

    Intro
Not much to tell about this update. I’ve been working on the pump, I really didn’t feel like I wanted to mod the pumps, so I decided to go the easy way, and create a cover. It turned out really good if you ask me. The whole motherboard will be covered with this kind of mesh, so don’t tell me that it don’t fit into the mod, because it’ll look amazing with the mobo cover. Just stay with me and you will see in a couple of updates.

    The funny part

Here’s the pump we’ll be working with, a Laing DCC-plus

After a lot of thoughts I, I did find this solution as the best.

Then getting the mounting pieces ready. 2 washers, 2 home made vibration-killers and 2 of those awesome screws :D

And then, this is how it looks. BUT I just didn’t like it because the white don’t fit the mod.

Then I draw up the cover I wanted to create.

This is how it turned out.

    Lets put it in place:
