oooooooo that would be cool i was actually thinking of doing that when i dooo my next mod(once i have this one complete) hmmmmmmm you could use the same 'cove' style on the outer framing of the screen, and also for the base, hmmmmmm maby use a darker wood on the base and stand and use the cherry on teh outer casing for it?? what ya thnk??

i dont know if i think of anything else i will let you know :thumb:

:duh: :wallbash: that was meant to be a :thumb: in teh last post ill edit that out:thumb:

    cheers josh.

lookin good. monitor in wood will suit very nicely. i think it's just as safe as making the case in wood, as long as all HV connections are well secured & insulated, and venting/internal clearances are provided at least as much as the original plastic case.
maybe do the keyboard aswell :cooldude:
cant wait to see the custom panels.... hope im not making ya work too hard :worried:

ARRGGGHH. You're getting too popular Gunner. :p I can't go on bit-tech EVERY day you know, especially not with my exams!

Jokes aside, keep up the amazing work. Keep going strong and you'll be done in no time (sadly). My dad is the same way as you (self-taught woodworker) and he can build houses by himself. What does that tell you about the power of determination. :p

Morphine-Kitty I am impressed with anyone who is self taught. I appreciate your father's work. I am sad too that this is getting very close to a finish. Thank you..

I will have to take a close look at a Lian-Li. Thanks zhangmaster12. I do see quality in Lian-Li cases so thats a great compliment.

Well, I suppose there could be a point when one would not want to be any more popular... :worried: you stop proving me wrong Pfaffen!

Well, I'll be watching closely for an update this weekend then.

Where would the second panel go? On the side of the case perhaps?
