I've got the 2407wp and I think it is the perfect size for todays computing requirements.

Trure, but it's better for watching Hi Def movies in bed.

Haha yep. These things are big, but they are deep; you'll need a desk that at least 2 feet deep without the rear hanging over the back while comfortably fitting a keyboard in front of it; and if your desk is against a wall or corner, you'll might as well use the desk from the side with the monitor on the other end... :miffed: I'm going to need a bigger desk soon as I might nick another one from work for a dual-screen setup (we've honestly got stacks of used 6FGp in the hallways) but these things draw over 100 watts of power each! On the other hand, colour accuracy and sharpness are undeniable.

I'm using a 5:4 (I think) CRT. No idea about the model as it's graphic designer's screen I got from my dad's place of work for a tenner.

    20" (diagonal) visible.
    25.5" (diagonal) inc. bezel.

I like the beast but I'm thinking of picking up one of those fancy 30" Dell jobbies (just sold one of my PCs so it's a real possibility now :D).

I think I'm on a 17" right now at work (set to the wrong res, no less), but at home I could be on either a 15", 20", or 24", all widescreen (1440/1680/1920px respectively). But if it's about the way you're writing reviews/site layout, I never have my browser maximized. I'd like a second 24" but it's not happening until I get a Mac with dual DVI out (and a proper desk).

Do you want good colour reproduction? Because most of the 22" widescreens have panels that use 6-bit colour and dithering, rather than true 8-bit colour...

Happy with my 2405, but I'd like to get a 37" 1080p Westinghouse.

Aye... but that's for the refurbished version you've linked to in the 'Bargain Bin' Doug... and not everybody is happy to buy refurbished units - with just a 30 day warranty ;)

It's more tempting to do so though, when you consider that a brand new 27" 2707WFP costs £615.00 / £722.62 :eeek:
Personally... I'd rather pay £160 more for two 24" 2407WFP's

But each to their own :thumb:

Which one's that then? The BenQ (with HDMI) perhaps?

my monitor depends on usage ...

30" is for when im doing graphics ... (PS work) :hip:

    22" for browsing internet

19" for pr0n (not as easy to get caught, yet still enjoyable) :worried:

15" for burning music and checking F@H stats ... :thumb:

    20" wide 2007 here.
More than enough screen real estate for me (for now :D)
