What desk is that and where did you get it? Been looking to get a L shaped desk like that but I can never find reasonable priced ones in the states.
I was thinking the same just looking at the pictures... it's even more mental than my desk at work. I've got 2x19" TFTs on my work rig, 1x 30" on one side connected to two rigs and on the other side I've got a 19" CRT plus a 22" widescreen TFT connected to another 2-3 rigs (depending on what I'm doing). Awesome room nonetheless though
Hey guys....I decided to update my studio picture cuz I have now broken in the room: Yeah its a lot messier but its how I like it! Also I got a 32" LCD as you can see. Thats my main box of gear for filming stuff. Its just a fun pic. I would also like to show you guys the first major video project from mDK Studios. (It is the label my friend and I put on our work.) Call On Me Remake Two friends came to me to remake the Call On Me video for a girl's birthday so we did and thats the result. Nick

Nothing like computers for computers sake. Why? I mean 2-3 computers I can see a use. you sir should invest in a kvm, then you can use your decent tfts, rather than straining your neck. seems daft to me bt meh.........
It was a Sony DVCAM, but I don't know the exact model. It is a pretty high end piece but not the best. It was borrowed from my work, so I was learning as I went. I am soon going to have a Canon XH-A1. I have been using an XL-1S for my current project and like it a lot, so I know I will like the XH-A1. Nick
You'll enjoy the A1. I got to play around with the G1 the other day and it's a dandy of a camera, if a tad noisy in low light. -monkey
Yeah, I am tempted with the G1, but for only SDI I don't think that it is worth the upgrade....cuz that means I would need to get an SDI card for my PC....and since I am out of PCI slots that means a new MoBo. This leads to a new PC and 6 grand later all for SDI.... I have worked out a deal with a buddy of mine. I am going to be doing a bunch of work on his house, and he is getting me the A1. From what I have read it has all of the features of the XL-1S just they are all better. Plus I am anxious to shoot in high def....hehehe! Nick
Yeah, the A1 is essentially the G1 without SDI. If you don't need it, then it makes sense to stick with the A1. Sounds like you got a pretty good deal to me! -monkey
The A1 came yesterday. I will post pics soon. supermonkey: I saw what you meant about the noise, but if you turn off the auto gain control it helps a lot. because even in manual mode, AGC will be on if the switch is on.
Yes, well, I have gotten most of my hardware for little to no $$ rackmount stuff is much more difficult to procure in this fashion...And btw those camera pics are coming....I had forgotten.
