    Hi ,

I didn't quite know where to put this so I chose this forum .
I was wondering if anyone could possibly tell me when we could be expecting the pricedrops for current range of Quad Core processors ( specially the Q6600 ) .
I'm just wondering if it's worth waiting another month or so to buy one at this moment .. ?

    Regards

Buy the parts that can be tested by inspection now and wait for price drop, it's what i'm doing. I bought my PSU, Case, Mouse and XP cd on Saturday.

That's precisely what I'm in the process of doing meself

In preparation for moving to the 'Dark Side' after the [planned for] 22nd July price cuts, I've already bought myself a new PSU (620w Corsair HX), a new mobo (Asus P5K3 Deluxe Wi-Fi AP - plus an Intel 'Bad Axe 2' [courtesy of Azh_fx :cooldude:] for another rig I'm updating), new graphics card (640MB BFG 8800GTS OC2), new RAM (4GB (2x 2GB) G.Skill PQ series), and a new HDD (750GB IBM/Hitachi, with 32MB cache on board :eeek: ) :thumb:

    Roll on 22nd July, I say :D

Under £200! Looks like it's almost time for me to build a new PC... Now just to raise some money.

Does anyone know if the 8800s are going to drop in price any further? I'm looking forward to an 8800gts 640mb for under $300. :waah:

docodine, i'm not sure if there are going to drop down in prices, but seeing as Nvidia are supposedly releasing a sub $100 DX10 GFX card i would of thought that they won't for a while.
