WoW a feature on the frontpage!!
thats a cool chance, thank you very much for picking me as one of the lucky 5!!!!

i don´t know if i understand you right but i´m using a compressor like this

today we made a new powerbutton out of some wood to see how it would look like and here is the result....

i think we will keep the wooden powerbutton and place the other one inside the aquarium of leave it away....:D

then we prepared the inside of the lower part for the airbrushing.....(we had to remove a lot of little nails which we shoot through the wood with a big "stapling machine" when we attached the details on the outside)

after that we mount all tubings and the water pump for the watercooling of the PC

and then we made a short testrun to see how it will look like with lights turned on....

i think on the next weekend we will finish the last details like the cable management and correct placement of the CCFL´s so that we can flood the aquarium itself and bring in the first habitants....:D:D

@teyber we only used this thick acrylic on the flame because it looks cooler then a thinner one....the other reason is that we want to mount the gfx card on the flame like on a normal pci bracket with a small screw...and that can only be done if the bracket is thick enough.......in case of the flame i cut it with my dremel and a carving bit

yesterday we bring the aquarium to the living room of my brother where it should stand, we also prepared the keyboard, mouse and tft to match the wood look of the rest (only the tft must be airbrushed again to make it a bit darker)
Beside that we fill the aquarium with water and some additives so that the water will be ready for fishes and plants within the next days.

At the moment we are still not sure which fishes should move in ? we can get small koi´s, nemo lookalikes, small red piranhas or more normal fishes like gold fishes etc.... what do you think?

i think tomorrow we can bring in the plants we already got, make a few tests with the water (to check if it´s ready to be settled) and then its time to bring some life inside.....

oh and here are a few shots from the aquarium in the dark with lights turned on....

are you going to overclock these fish?

maybe you could use aquarium as some sort of reservoir for future wc loop?

Overclocking a fish is simple. Just shove 1200v through their front two teeth.

    Bl**dy good project anyway.

Looks really good. Imo a good addition would have been some castors on it to make it easy to move for cleaning and such :p

Maybe you could go for some neonfish - fish that shines as the light hits them - you've got so many different colors from your light, that it could be exciting to see the effect? Helluva good casemod! I'm impressed!!! Sehr gut! Looking forward to see your TFT 'wooded' :D

    /Frido

EDIT: The neonfish would be cheaper too, I think...?
