Not that you'd know Summer was here in the UK at the moment with the wrath of floods, hailstones and everything else but sun hitting the country. If you are somewhere too hot right now, this clothing mod might be just for you.

Im way ahead of you, had some fans lying around on a hot day. Did a hat and massive cardbord box to. Only problem was, you had to be within 1 meter of a power outlet.

The sad thing is, that if it wasn't for the strange way it makes the shirt look this would be a fantastic idea! Well at least I think so.

This just gave me an idea of just slapping on a dozen 144cfm 120mm's onto an old T-shirt. I'd just need to sit by a computer with an open side panel to access the Molex connectors though and all the wiring will be visibly hanging from the shirt. Now that would a hilarious project log to read.

Has anyone seen the fancy dress costumes with these fans in?

Friend has a clown suit one and it looks hilarious!

And the kid across the road has a superman one that blows him up from 4 year old to, lift 4 tonnes year old! :D

Years ago I did some re-shingling (student summer job). What worked best to keep cool in the hot sun while up on the roof? Baggy white cotton coveralls with nothing but underwear under them :D . The white hard-hat also worked well and if it wasn't for the steel toed boots and it would have been perfect.

Anyway, silly looking shirt and as Stikeh pointed out, nothing new but somebody making it work on USB.

Hopefully this doesn't sound racist but what is it with Asian "inventors" and USB?.

lets do it!!!!! this is great to use with the academic clothes that sometimes, especially in night clubs, become rather hot.
now lets concentrate on summer time, it is rather hot and humid here.

I work as a welder and this would be marvelous, because of the ventilation needed we can't/don't Air condition the area I work in, on top of that, the welds and torches throw off a lot of heat, the equivelant of standing too close to a fire, and finally no matter how hot it is I'm wearing leather jackets, steel toed boots, leather aprons, insulated gloves, welding helmets etc. In short it's always sweltering, I would happily wear some stupid fan shirt if it helped protect me from the 120 deg air I stand in.
