Just spent a week in Tuscany (making trips to Florence, Rome, etc) and had some ace weather (if a little hot). This is the first bunch of shots processed. Panoramas are clickable.

    Wonderful photographs!!!

Love the lifts in the tower, that almost looks CG with that lighting

    Thanks :)

Must admit, that lift shot has been HDRd, although it didn't really offer that much more over the original, I just got a bit carried away :D

Can you explain what #9 is? I've been looking at it for the past 10 minutes and I can't figure it out! An elevator?

Awesome pictures, makes me want to go there.

9 is two lifts I think.

and those are amazing, the panoramic ones of sunset / other great countryside are really good

Yep, #9 is just a lift (elevator) with two compartments (carriages?). It goes up and down a shaft cut into the rock. If you turn around from the position that shot was taken from, you'll see the tunnel in #8 :)

#4 doesn't really do anything for me, #6 has much better composition.

Very nice shots indeed. #11 is stunning, but I am a sucker for the perspective goodness. :D

Aye, #11 is cool. I like #7 a lot too.

I like #12, however the background is a little distracting. That 50mm isn't particularly known for having good bokeh though, is it?

Some great shots there, especially loving 7 & 9 - that lift has a real sci-fi feel to it, could almost be a transparent Tardis :D

Possibly the first time I've seen the clock tower in the square without scaffolding around it!

    Nice shots :)

Very nice shots!! Loving #8 and specially 18-19. There's just something about sunset/ruins panoramas that's admirable... good work!! As OleJ said, seeing those pics will definitely bring you memories back... I'm still amazed at that sunset...
