first of all, lol at the pedalbike:D I've had a go at sort of a similar bike on a fancy fair once it's hell to manage

ontopic, I think you're project looks well c00l :brrr: and I was allready following it before I signed in at BT and will continue to do that because I can't wait to see the final result inlcluding the monitor (and keyboard and mouse maybe? ;) )

LOL floriske.nl - I did it the same way, followed all those wonderful mods here at BT, till I gave in and registered :D

And now i'm subscribing a lot of project logs, sweet I say, supersweet!

Jegerjon: Love the monitor - totally! I got a Samsung 22" widescreen, I'd like to do it the same way as you've (nearly) done - I'm fed up with all the plastic on the monitor, and I'd like it black (the rest of my hw is black too), so thanks for the good ideas there!!! :) I just hope I'll do it someday :)
(My excuse: No workbench, no appropriate tools etc. etc. - lol I know it's a lousy excuse, but it's a excuse, isn't it? ;) )

    Keep up modding wonderfully!!!

    /Frido

    Update 32 – The monitor part 2 @ Wednesday the 18th of July 2007.

    Intro
Next update for the monitor is ready now! I’ve fixed everything, and the only that’s left is sanding and painting. I think it’s cool! I skipped the idea with NLM milled into the foot, but I don’t want the piece of alu there, because it looks to heavy and big. I like how I is now, and that’s how it’ll be ;)

Next update on Friday, and pictures from the final monitor :)

    The funny part

Here’s the foot has been bended, the bends are like on the computer, and I think it fits good with everything else ;)

Then I used my mile to create the first part of the “holder” which’ll join the screen and the foot. It’s skew in the end, to make the monitor go back.

I should be placed like this ;)

Here’s the last part of the “holder” this will connect the other part with the screen.

It should work like this ;) It’s possible to adjust the screen, and it’s solid!

Now it’s time to think of the last details. Here I’ve milled a slice to make the cables which give the screen power and connect it to the computer, come out.

Here’s the electronic which control all the buttons (arrow up, arrow down, menu and power.

But I want to replace the buttons with those. So I found those and added some nuts.

Then I drilled holes in the for the buttons.

Adding them, that’s not bad at all ;)

And from the backside, ready to soldering ;)

Then I cut out some small plexi pieces.

    ….very small.

    Drilled holes.

In place, ooh or not. They need to be straight before I’ll glue it :hehe: but else it’s very good.

See you guys in a couple of days, a great update with the finished monitor is waiting ;)

Great teaser shots, jegerjon. Just enough to let us see some of what is going into it, but not enough to get the whole idea. CAN'T WAIT!

Will the foot for the monitor be as it is now (open) or will the be some black mesh + orange ligth under it?

    Best regards Stubkier

Thank you all. Really, thank you :)

Stubkier @ It'll be open like that, I tried to put in some kind of block, but it just seemed to big and heavy. So I'll go with it like that, and just wait it looks awesome with it all in place.

Pictures tomorrow, right now the part has been painted, and I'm only waiting for it to dry. Can't wait ;)

    Update 33 – The monitor part 3 @ Saturday the 21st of July 2007.

    Intro
Wee, the monitor is done :D I’ll just leave you with some pictures, but not completely finished, the small buttons need to be glued, and straighted out. But you’ll first see when I take the final pictures ;)

Also the case is self looks good. I’ll be able to do a lot of work on that tomorrow, so expect a update ;)
