    that was fab.. i want to go to the arctic.. But clarkson was an idiot for ramming the car through.. And why didn't they have a sheet of titanium or something on the underside to protect it, most extreme off road cars do. And i was hoping they would explore the plane they found, would be cool to see inside it.

    The truck will have had the extra protection, but even that wouldn't be proof against Sir Ranulph Clarkson.

    Loved the ep, Hammond always gets the bum deals. The bit when James pulled out some gin, and then later, and the look on Jeremy's face was priceless.

    I would have strapped some of those metal spike things round the tyres for better grip, apparently they make no difference? (according to my dad)

    They only make a difference when you're struggling for grip on thin snow with ice underneath really, soft snow like that will just be ripped by spikes, as they have no side-profile designed for grip really.

    The bit with the hamper and wine was fantastic, shame about Hammond getting a bum deal, he was so gutted he lost too. It would've been nice to see Hammond get there and celebrate with the other guys.

    Chainy spikey things around the tyres wouldn't have made a difference because the tyres already had small spikes built into them. You could see them at the start when Clarkson was talking about the modifications the car had had.
