Ok guys, after almost a month with no updates, here is one for ya :D

I finished making the PSU covers (still need to paint them though, but thats for another time)

So, just to refresh your memories, here are the pics of the first cover i made, untrimmed

After painting it with a sandable primer

They say mod it till it bleeds... right? I was cutting the fabric for the second cover when my knife slipped on the ruler over my index finger... VERY ouch

So... yeah... this mod had its share of blood spilled 8)

During the last week i laminated the second cover and today released and trimmed it. So here are the pics of both covers

Then an idea hit me. Make some sort of vent to add some detail to the covers. Here is the cutting template i will be using and later on i'll make some acccent aluminum plater to go over the vent

And how it's gonna look on the PSU cover
    [IMG]

The vent idea is very basic, so I'm open to suggestions and feedback.

Till the next update, take care :)

Mostly i use pneumatic tools, die grinder, rotary sander, for the fine sanding and tight areas i used mouse sander. To shape the internal wood box i used jigsaw and belt sander and disc saw to cut the wood panels. Occasionally i used drill press, thats about it

Honestly? I think you'll ruin it with the stripes...

Stick to the Ferrari Theme, stay away from all that american crap, all chrome, black and white stripes, huge chromed wheels, that's not italian, and definately not Ferrari.

A Ferrari is classic (I don't like the Enzo but still) try to make your case classic and not just a case that has modern influences, it'll quickly fade and the design will be again boring.

I hope I made myself understandable. Good work!

I agree with Shark00n - those stripes do not fit well with that cover in my opinion. They are too big and bulky for such a noble Enzo Ferrari thingie, better look at some Ferraris and find some air ducts or vents and get some more ideas from it.

You could do another cover with some small protruded ridges along the middle of the side like those intakes on an old ford t - on the sides of the engine compartment. Like this one http://www.buddyktoys.com/Pictures/Small truck pics/Cox thimbledrome yellow.jpg

Nice work though! Looking forward to see your project finished! Mod on!!!:rock:

looking forward to the next update.... all the work has been excellent so far

i think the stripes will help make the car seem thinner & longer, and i bet they will look great!

the psu vent looks good. 'honeycomb' mesh grill would look good aswell.

I can stand blood just fine I'm a diabetic who sees it everyday, but the trend on BT is to show up close detailed shots of mangled finger wounds it's just disgusting, but to each his own I don't have to look at the pics if I don't want to.

Is that Enzo tribute dead, or is it just idling, ready to sprint out the freeway? I hope the latter ;)
Such beauty ought to be finished, so we here on BitTech can drool and gasp ;)

deeply sorry for the lack of updates for such a long time guys. the project is on hold and it seems that it will remain in the same state for quite some time. there are some things i need to take care of in my life before i can move on with the modding. please don't try to resurrect this thread, asking for updates, once there will be an update you guys will be the first to know.

Yet again sorry for keeping you in the dark.

Big thanks for the support guys. Just to calm you down, nothing bad happened, i moved to a new workplace (R&D team), meaning we are on a tight schedule with not too much free time to work on personal projects, and the fact that i began going to the gym 4 times a week, giving up on some more modding hours. So, untill i will get used to my new life order and plan my daily schedule properly, i will put my modding projects aside.

Hope you guys understand, as I'm eager to come back to modding action, just need to find some time :(
