Okay, Since I am at work and cant mod now, I decided to update my sketchup design to include the new vandal resistant buttons and also made the plexi covering a bit darker.

This is more along the line of what I want this case to look like when done:

I am also getting a Zalman fan controller and a Vizo control Panel II to put in the front with the DVD writer.

I wish I could get new hardware or something, but, for the time being, I am just putting my signature hardware in here.

Would love to get a new ATi HD2900XT 512mb 512bit graphics card though and a new processor, just to speed things up a bit.

    Look at this baby: http://www.prophecy.co.za/gecube-radeon-hd2900xt-512mb-pcie-p-21884.html

Man that will be sweet to have!!

    Oh yeah! UpdateTime!

Okay, so this morning I started by getting the frame ready for its spray job.

Then, after the first coat, she looks like this:

I also attached the back cover to the mobo tray and then re-painted it so that the little bolts arent completely visible:

I then attached the drive cages to the frame and then gave it another coat of paint:

At the bottom, I drilled and countersunk some holes to attach the wood to the bottom:

Here is what she looks like at the moment. Can you see the wood at the bottom? The screws pierced the top of the wood!! Man, I'll have to fix that tomorrow.

Just for interest sake, the current weight at the moment is 7.7 kgs.

So, this is how she will stay untill I get all the parts I ordered from Mnpctech, Performance Pcs and Sybaritic. Hopefully that will all be here next week so I can continue with her.

    Comments?

Thanx Teyber, yeah that would have looked awesome! I am still thinking about putting a piece of translucent black or clear plexi over the piece of wood. Must just do the holes for the air and it would look sweet! (No idea how I'll get it in there though :))

    What do you think?
