CS:S is still takes around 95% of my gaming time, with the occassional dabble in Rome Total War having only recently bought it. Next on my list of games I should have played by now is Farcry, so I voted FPS.
The only 2 games I've played for any real length of time in the past year or two have been WOW and Football Manager 2007. When a decent FPS game comes along I usually play it to completion then drop back to the other two, Oblivion was the same. Was hard to choose just one genre. short term I prefer FPS but for a longer time frame I like things more engaging.
FPS, But I love a good RPG/MMO and many an RTS. Even some turn-based strategy games can be fun from time to time I try to be diverse.
Definitely FPS, it's pretty much all I play except for an RPG/RTS here or there. For me nothing beats being there in first person with a mouse and keyboard I can't wait for all the games coming out this fall! Right now I'm playing UT2k4 and DoD a bit.
QFT I picked platform too, gotta love sonic (old ones), mario, metroid (ok its shooting too), yoshis island etc
wow addict... but CS is a great distraction till I get all pissed off.. then back to wow. Think of it.. thats why I really like WoW. *PVE server
I'd have to say FPS if really pushed but can appreciate good examples of other genres such as IL2, Psychonaughts, Mr Robot, Lucasarts adventures, etc, etc but I find that games like the SIMS just leave me cold.
FPS is not FPS. I prefer the more tactical variety, like Operation Flashpoint or Ghost Recon. Battlefield goes more or less along with that, too.
most of my fav games are RPGs (FF7, chrono trigger FF6 etc) but I have been drifting towards FPS games alot. I got hooked on RTS games ever since I got my hands on command & conquer on the sega saturn, but by far, RPGs are top if my list.
FPS for me mostly. But i have to say that i also like some other types. And, dont forget some racing with my G25!
FPS, it's the only genre I really play multiplayer and has given me the best experiences on and offline. When you can jump from a 32 man frag fest straight into the half life 2 campaign you know you are onto a winning genre.
