There was this program on CITV, but I cant remember what it was called! Basically the participants of the show (all around 10 years old i think) had to complete challenges in dungeons and stuff. Like stepping stones and if they stepped on the wrong one they would fall into a bottomless pit! My dad told me (when i was like 5 or 6) that the people actually died!

That would be Knightmare. Amazing programme, it's still repeated occasionally on Challenge TV.

Your missing the option for "nothing desensitised me I'm still a mortal coward". It took me ages to start Ravenholm because of all the noises in the tunnel before your climb the ladder in to it, i qualify for the AJ Rimmer award for bravery!

And sometimes gets re-seeded at UK Nova.

Random Nightmare fact for you; the contestants didn't start using the 'side-stepping' manoeuvre until the 2nd season!

I get scared in stuff. But wielding a shotgun normally makes it all better.

I remember watching Stephen King's IT when I was about 12 - I was a big fan of his books, so the only logical progression was to watch the films... That was the first I watched and I seem to remember it scaring me quite a bit.

I never used to like horror flicks but thought I'd give one a go, so I bought the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre - I watched it alone, lights out, nobody else home. Man that was messed up, I spent the rest of the night curled up on my bed too scared to close my eyes!

I've been okay watching most other horror flicks since; however I now keep the Texas Chainsaw Massacre DVD in the back of the shelf because even looking at the cover scares me :worried: .

The Toombes character from the X-Files kept me up for about a week when I was a kid. I remember Res Evil 1 scared the ever-loving crap out of my brother when he was about 8 too..

The only film I can remember getting scared about was the librarian in Ghostbusters, sent me behind a sofa in another room.

I've remembered now what truly finished off any moral scruples about violent content I ever had - American Psycho. The book.

For those of you that haven't read it, it's not for the squeamish... (Anyone who has, please make sure you use spoiler tags for anything, it'd be a shame to spoil someone's enjoyment of a great book).

The book is awesome and I used to read it out to my girlfriend to scare the everloving poo out of her. Some of that book is seriously messed up.

    ADULT STUFF AND SPOILER:
Like the bit where he links the womans nipples up to car batteries until the nipples brown, smoke and eventually explode practically. Gross.
