Lets see how many visitors they get if all search engines remove them from the search results.

Talk about bitting the hand that feeds you!

You know it *might* be the fact they are suing everyone and their grandmother they are losing millions. That aside, how can a few images cause that kind of loss...

I was thinking the same thing... If you want visitors to visit a page you want it to turn up in a search engine. They won't get many hits if visitors have to guess their address...

I can see google bringing that up. I'm sure they'll say something along the lines of "we never asked to be included in your search"

    Sillyness.

I'm on Perfect 10's side. We should pay for nudity even though we spend billions a year just covering up.

They could also just insert a webserver directive to block referrals from google and microsoft linked to image content. Lots of sites do that, it's a very simply fix.

I don't really see how it's destroying their business, I don't know about you guys, but if I want a pic of some boobies, I want high res boobies, not some tiny thumbnail.

I think the reason their business is falling is because no-one likes to pay for their porn on the net when they can get it free of charge on other sites.

They are suing Microsoft because it links to other websites that use perfect 10s images without consent, it doesnt host any full sized images itself (or as far as im aware); And because MS indexes sites that contain passwords brute forced from the perfect10 site itself they are also blaiming them for it :eyebrow:

Even I can see this is futile, they must need the $ :wallbash:

Can imagine how useless search engines would be if everyone had to ask to be included?

    :hehe:

:thumb: most valid explanation yet. They should be suing those other sites but MS is such a nice big juicy - stationary - target. However: http://news.yahoo.com/comics/uclick...rub20070808;_ylt=Amlv27UzP.AbcdFnHoSl4ovtcLQF <- it'll be nice and big but you don't want to be too close when that one drops.

You do actually have to submit your website to search engines in order for them to search through your site. As far as I remember I had to do it for both msn and google, so someone submitted and they wont beat Microsfot, them fellows got best lawyers about.

correct me if i'm wrong... but cant you put some code in the header of your website to tell the searchengines how to "behave" on your site?
