I have now moved to Malvern Link, to start work for these people www.quinetiq.com , well its just a GAP year placement, should be cool. Am sat on a Pipex 2 mb adsl connex atm, and it sucks. Bloody pipex. My NTL 1meg connex is faster than this. Ho hum.
WOWOWOWOW a fellow modder not more than a couple of miles away from me. i live in hanley swan btw. i did work experience at quinetic and was quite impressed with it all. have fun in malvern (its not that great unless you like walking on hills but looks quite nice)

I tried to get a job at qinetiq, they turned me down because I didn't have a degree. How shallow, just becuse I am not a graduate doesn't make me incapable. The annoying thing is it didn't even have to be a specialist degree. And what do they want to pay a graduate?? 15k!!!! laughable!!!! Bring back DERA, they were not as jumped up. Oh, while you are there, keep ane eye out for me!!!!
if you want to come to malvern fly, can you come and set up a new maplin?? it would make it so much easier than going to cheltenham all the time and maybe you could be manager
erm, the thing is... I think my years of IT experience would be wasted in that kind of job. And I know that Maplin wouldn't give a hoot about any personal development. They sucky sucky as an employer!
Hmm where I am living there is almost bugger all in terms of electronics stores. Theres 2 VERY over priced computer stores a stone throw away, but one of them is run by a guy that would define a-hole. Ho hum, about Maplin ... why not order online ? or over the phone ?
actually there is a guy in malvern (im not quite sure where) who used to sell reconditioned trinitrons really cheaply. a mate of my dad had a couple of him. might be good if you could find him
