It sounds like an odd question, i know. I'm trying to educate some of the people at my office on the fine art of virus removal - For training we are making a virtual machine of windows xp (only outgoing connections through port 80 allowed) and infecting with as much crud as we can, but as hard as i try there are some viruses i cant seem to find. Spisifically SMITfraud, as it has come up with me quite a few times. Does anyone have a online gallery of live viruses for download? Anyone have any suggestions of where to look? Thanks in advance
You could try looking for "free porn" or free big-name applications (i.e. warez) in google. Hopefully you'll come up with a load of sites offering fake files, hopefully littered with trojans etc.
would "fake" viruses suffice? stuff that doesnt really hurt your system, but contains code very similar to viruses? if yes, heres a link
thats really helpful, thanks. Did that too, we searched in limewire for executables like "sex" and other sites. Google is pretty good at removing devious links though.
