got a bit of music... always in the quest for something new and cool

I listen to things that I can mostly classify as "rock" but I've got bunch of jazz and instrumental tunes as well

LOL! MY music file is not that much! wow some guys here have crazy space!

    English music (MP3) = 32.8GB
    Arabic music (MP3) = 11.5GB
    English Clip (MPEG - AVI) = 16.1GB
    Arabic Clip (MPEG - AVI) = 7.2GB

Total= 32.8+11.5+16.1+7.2 = 67.6GB !!! WOW they are big! I didn't notice that, DAM! I think that I have to delete Some to get more free space!

    Take care.

Some impressive collections here. I tend to collect discographies if I like a band.

no point in posting a screenshot as it's just folders 0-9,A,B...Z, so here's some property dialogues. N: is just a dumping ground for the currently unsorted, the rest should speak for themselves

there's not actually 20k tracks in here, just over 17k. Just because there is album art etc. etc. too

Started the music collection on 56k (first track I downloaded EVER was Blur - Song 2) and built everything form there, i have had 100meg at uni and 2meg at home, now on 8meg which tops out at about 7.7, i'm very close to the exchange :)

I almost lost everything a few weeks ago

I had a botched linux install that destroyed my mbr so I had to recover most of the files after scanning for them - the trick was figuring out which disk had data that I didn't want to over write (5 physical drives)

my music - I had backed that up on a handful of dvd's the week prior - many things I can replace (programs, drivers, etc) but my music and photos are two things that I would be lost without

Whats wrong with Bjork? She has a beautiful voice. I'd have thought you'd be picking on me for the Sum 41, Darkness, and Evanescence, not the Bjork...

I read an article and seen alink to this forum and had to post, but over at the Media Monkey forums I have seen post of people who have collections in the terabytes. My newest project is ripping all my DVD's to HDD so I can access them all frommy HTPC, but that is gonna take about 8TB of HDD space and months if not years of work. Two projects (Music and Movies) that'll never get to completion.
