I think YouTube is worse than Pirate Bay. YouTube has a copy of the music video and distributes it for free. On YouTube music search engines like www.tubejuke.com you can get a feel for the massive amount of music videos that is on there...

the thing about people like this is they are just pissy and want to blame everyone but their own lack of talent. not to say that he did a killer job for the Batman movie. but on to the point, the 'evil internet' has done nothing but promote record sales. in the three years after napster CD sales went up something like 6-10% because it was easier to get a hold of music you never would have heard before. in every case i know of for people DLing, they either don't have the money to spent 10-$25 on a CD or e-album or they don't really like the CD and just lie a couple songs cause they are catchy. this day and age with technology at everyones fingertips it shouldn't cost any more then $5 for a CD and like 10 cents an MP3. MP3s are non-degrading, infinitely reproducible, 0% Production cost, essentially imaginary item with no physical existence. this means other than running the storage server for the original, its a zero overhead item, they sell them for near 100% profit. Yet still charge as much or more then what it would cost to buy a physical CD if you were to get it as an album. we have been paying people more then they are worth for over 70 years for music that is nothing more then a distraction, cause the more we keep people focusing on making music instead of making a difference the more money people like record executives can make.

Drexial you have to factor in the bandwidth cost......

edit: forgot to say that prince is fighting an uphill fight against a death star at firing range while using a straw and some paper as ammo..... and only one shot..... and no jedi powers.

he has 1 in 10000000000000000 chances of cleaning up the internet.

Fairly simple, really. They see their declining record sales, and most of them have fairly powerful psychological blocks on admitting that they just aren't as original or good as they used to be. They look for a scapegoat (or turn to a destructive drug habit), and they notice internet piracy. This plays to their ego ("I'm so good that lots of people are downloading my music") and their sense of greed ("I'm loosing money because people are illegally downloading my music"), and also provides a very nice escape from the crushing reality that they really aren't as good as they were.

I'm sure, of course, that the great Nexxo will be along in a few posts to explain the whole matter quite a bit more thoroughly and accurately.

(I hope, anyway. There's nothing like reading a good Nexxoization)

Trying to stop pirates on the internet is like boarding a pirate ship and telling them they can't pillage.

They will pillage if they want to pillage damnit!

I guess he dosn't know much of the origins and early days of the web if he thinks the piracy thing is bad today... I rember people just used to share vast amounts of stuff on aynomous ftp's that allowed uploads! and webpages with huge lists of wares for direct download.

I'd have a lot more respect for the poor, horribly-wronged, brought-to-the-brink-of-poverty artists if they didn't all apear to be rich money grabbing *******s with drug problems. Not that I'm suggesting Prince has a drug problem, although his pharmacist has clearly given him the wrong meds if he thinks he can clean up the internet.

I'm sure they all think we're rolling about in beds of cash, sticking two fingers up at them through our massive internet tubes as we suck up their imaginary profits. Fact is, people, most of us have less money now in real terms trying to spread it a lot further - and paying £15 for an album with only a couple of songs you really like, well - it sorta sucks. So excuse us if we feel the need to try before we buy. End rant... for the time being.

First of all, Welcome to Bit-tech your second family ;)

I don't mind to see music videos on Internet! Better than see them on TV on MTV or something! Why the hell the ISP will cost me when I see the Video? This is kinda Weired. I think the DSL Line limited to some speed and Unlimited on bandwidth! mean if you download 1T in 1 month same as you download 1MB in 1 month too! It's do what every you want on this speed.... Also if you think on it, It's good thing to artist to make there videos on youtube to watch for free. If you like it Go buy it. It's kinda same the games. When the Company show the demo and tell you try it and if you like the game go buy, Same what happen with Bioshock ;)

Any ways I love the site that you post, It's kinda make it easy to watch songs on youtube ;) Cleaner and faster

    Thanks very much, Take care.
