most of the time I don't but I use a portable CD player or laptop when I do as I haven't seen any mp3 player worthy of me.

I remember the first MP3 player I had (2001-2002 ish?) which offered a whopping 64MB of storage :D You could just about squeeze an album on at 112kbit, or miss off a track or two at 128kbit

First MP3 player i had was a Siemens SL45 Mobile phone with a 32mb MMC card.
If i remember correctly, it was the very first mobile phone to include an MP3 player (also later got a firmware upgrade to make it into one of the very first java-app phones)
    /geek nostalgia mode off :D

    Then it isn't an MP3 player, it's a phone that plays MP3s. :p

(Or you vote 'other' and specify it up!)

    You can't pick two?

I have a Sony WALKMAN NW-E005 (Shiny purple USB stick) for just lite traveling. But I also use my trusty 1st Gen Ipod Mini with the Flashcard + Linux mod for most things.

No CD player option on here for those of us who haven't moved on yet?
I hope to get an MP3 player soon, but funds are low and I can't justify buying a new music player until I really have to.

Apple (iPhone 8GB, but I also have a 5G 60GB and 1G nano 4GB, plus had a 4G 20GB) for quite some time, but back in the day I loved my Minidisc player. I've still yet to find anything that even comes close to its battery life (but oh god, the software). I've also got a little 1GB player that I picked up from Woot for cheap which might be Creative, but I'm not really sure.
