    Hey all,

I've had my shiny 22" Samsung SyncMaster 226bw for a few weeks now, pretty happy with it except for one problem - it likes to second guess my brightness settings! Whenever I load up a noticeably darker website (e.g. google dark), the monitor actually dims into what looks like some sort of text dimming mode, any idea why this happens?

    Cheers,
    Paul

This is to do with the Dynamic Contrast option being selected. I don't have a Samsung monitor in front of me so I can't really guide you to turning it off but it should be in the menus :)

Awesome. I was trying to do it through the panel itself, seems you have to install the annoying little software util in order to do it.

    Many thanks,
