Exif: Canon 400D/ISO200/Aperture Priority/F2.0/50mm/2 sec. exposure I went out especially for the Potm. I shot for about an hour without much luck, it was getting too dark so I was heading back home untill I came across this field with thick fog and the red/purple shine from the sun that had already set. It took some time but finally I got it on my camera with a 2 sec exposure @ F2.0. This thick fog, with red coloured sky after the sunset, is typical for the changing of summer to fall. It's cold to be outside, but well worth it.
I like it! The three lights need to be gently cloned out though as they're distracting. I've got an idea that I'd like to get done for this month.. just got to find the right prop.
Agreed with kenco - nice take on the theme, but you really need to clone out those lights on the right.
Low lying fog perhaps, we get it all the time where I live. @Lovah: Could you do a black and white version with a slightly boosted contrast? I just had a go from the one you've posted here and it looks interesting Love the shot, it fits the theme perfectly
I couldn't even see the base of the tree, which was about 100 meters away. I'm not native-English though. Thanks for the suggestion Mother-Goose, I'll try it.
It's a nice pic, but I agree with all the comments too. I quite like like the blue but I think it's too saturated. I think upping the contrast and reducing the sat to create a sort of 'steel' blue/grey would be cool.
Great mood I like the colors and saturation and all as it's almost like a water color painting. I do agree though that you should clone away the three lights if possible.
Thanks for all the friendly reply's. I cloned out the lights and went with a white border instead of the black, I think it's much better this way. Hope you like this better.
Much better. Hadn't even considered the border, but it made a surprisingly profound difference. Although now the trees being off-center bugs me (or not off-center enough that it seems intentional, though I don't think that would work well). Oh well.
