I talked to some guys at a LAN last weekend who did this and they said it only works if you have some sort of flow. A fan will work but a pump's better. They also said it works REALLY well if you have an external radiator even if it's passive. Food for thought.

i know this could be a bit late in reply, but if you still want to cut with a dremel then u could use a drill bit (metal) at max speed, it would rip through the acrylic with no trouble at all.

you don't want it to "rip" through cuz that just chips out the other side; high rotational rate and slow travel speed is ideal.

Looks interesting! Cant wait to see where this is going.

Acrylic is an interesting material, and hard to work with depending. Normal drill bits have a tendency to grab and crack the acrylic, especially at bigger diameters, or leave a jagged hole where the drill comes out. You might want to invest in something like this http://www.tapplastics.com/shop/product.php?pid=161, these special bits leave nice smooth holes with no cracking. I have some and cant live without em

I found that Jigsaws work great on cast acrylic but are a royal pain with extruded(cheap) stuff. The saw will melt it and actually reseal your cut because the blade gets so hot! Not fun.

    11-9-07 Plexy

    Thanks for the help!

I cut the plexy-glass with a jigsaw with a friend of mine. It took us a good while (measure about 5x but cut once) It came out pretty nice!
Its kinda hard to see the plexy, but its there!
Here is a pic of the plexy mounted on the motherboard tray:

    Another angle:

And this is what the case will look like with the motherboard tray sitting in it evenly.

    And a up-view shot:

11/09/07 Part II - The PSU Case

Well I have not forgotten about my PSU...

There it is painted with the "hammed look."

It looks pretty good up close, but I can't seem to get my camera to focus very well that close.
But I have been able to paint the "logo" for my project!

And here is a first attempt to paint a side with a grungy/bloody look.

I welcome comments, so please post!
And if you can, please send some help on how to paint a grungy look. Thanks!
