I would love it if you did that. When you take out the old fan, can you try to take pictures of the LED so that I can see where it is, and if I could snip and replace it? Thanks in advance!
Ehm slight problem i've just found. The way Zalman have held the fan inplace, if you were to take it apart it would not go back together. In order to take it apart a small black washer has to be broken. Because you've broken this washer taking it apart when you go to put it back together it has nothing to hold it in place. The modern technology of Paint will explain if you didnt understand. Edit : The washer it wider than i've drawn
Afraid not. I can see the LED's through the clear plastic. Theres two of them. But i can see no way to get at them without opening up the fan.

I'm not sure tbh. I have a 7000 with a blue LED fan. Not sure where you could buy one sorry. I'm in the UK and it looks like your over the pond and i'm not sure on what sites to look for.
Hey have you ever used the zalman case fans? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118023
Well, same answer. anyways, for the led's you want to buy fr the case, what kind of lighting are you planning? you could buy anywhere from 5-30-50 led's.
I am thinking of lighting the front of the case, facing back towards the mobo. I want to be able to see all of the parts. Maybe the LEDs are put around the edge of the window?
do you think that if I painted it, the blue would not shine through? if so, what kind of paint should I use?
