TV Shows CSI pet hate!

And why is it that every time their computers are processing information, make noise?

And the operating system they use: is it linux, windows, macOS....?

 

Some chump has run the data lines right through the power supply. Amateur hour!

 

The one thing in CSI that irritates me the most is when the Investigators analyse a suspects computer. They switch the thing on and merrily log into webmail (for example), which causes me to get twitchy before screaming "Well done, not only have you unnecessarily compromised the integrity of the exhibit, but you've (likely) broken the law as I doubt the search warrant covers accessing items from a remote server!".

I work in digital forensics...

 

I like the PC graphics and interfaces - kinda reminds me of the laptop screens in "Hackers"

On a side note, I didn't realise my pet hate would cause a 3 page thread

Am I the only person that gets annoyed by the fact that if you miss the first five minutes of the episode, you're screwed for having a clue what the rest of it's about?

 

I love CSI but what I really want to know is why, in CSI:maimi, H shoots a bad guy (dead) most weeks, yet never gets his gun and his badge taken off him or gets investediated to ensure it was a "good" shooting, but I'm sure in other CSI's (or maybe just other cop shows) they kind make a big deal about when the police kill people (even if they are criminals)

 

I love CSI but what annoys me is Horatio. I mean, has he broken his neck or something??? Hes always got his head tilted and it takes him 10 minutes to say a tiny tiny line.

IPs in TV/Film quite regularly exceed the byte limit, nothing new.

 

Maybe it's deliberate, like 555 numbers
