    Hi guys !

can you believe it... It is nearly all over ! by Sunday the case will be being clear coated and then thats it ! 'game over' he he

Before i continue with the update i would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has followed this log. I know i am a new comer to the bit tech forums, but i am not new to bit tech. I have always lurked around, until i felt my self worthy to join in the banter and get posting my mods.

Not many forums greet new members with open arms, so I am flattered that you guys have welcomed me and even nominated me for MOTM!

really appreciate the support guys so thank you!

this will be the last update tilt he case is cleared! so enjoy... maybe look at one pic a day - it will last longer ;)

I'll just let the pics do the talking here.
but just before i let them talk... this is the case in a rough state, its all patchy, some bits rough, some smooth some shiny, some flat. the colours are a little flat too.
you would not believe how much of a difference the clear coat will make, so bare that in mind folks

Top of the case: this will be BLUE when cleared

Cases are not the only things being painted in my house at the moment by the way ! This is not my usual dining room decor.

    enjoy

and If you think I am worthy of MOTM over Design Master's frankly, unbelievable case... throw me yer votes :D

LOL! Nice stuff, I was a fan of H.R Giger whilst studying art and I couldn't believe he used an airbrush for his stuff nor can I believe you do! You have a very nice talent there!

:) I love Giger's work. very interesting. His work is also a lot bigger (size of the canvas) than you would expect too.

The bioshock case is being clear coated NOW so i should have it back and assembled by the end of the week :)

    Re: Airbrushed 'Bioshock'

Awesome work on the case. I really like how the city landscape turned out, has a nice glow to it. How long have you been airbrushing for?

The guys at work are following my work log ;)

:) city scape did turn out nice - there was not a lot i could really do on that panel, but the scape kinda works.
I have been airbrushiong between 5-7 years, the earlier end of the scale was just messing around with models, nothign serious. started painting 'art' with the airbrush around 5 years ago ( I think ) I also paint model figures to a proffesional level too. I found that airbrushing figures was useless, and the ol' paintbrush was the way to go !

small update for you guys anyway :

at last the case has been clear coated !

A couple of bits need to be iven another lick of clear, and a spot more polish so i have not been able to put the case back togeather. so here are some pics to keep you all going.

    small update:
Havnt put all the case back togeather yet as some parts need to be re-cleared when the current clear has fully hardened.

For now though heres some snaps of a few panels :)
    enjoy

Holy crap. You, Sir, are a painting god.
I have had an airbrush for well over a year and never used the damn thing. That being even tho i spent a few good £ on it. Badger 360 and a small compressor to boot. I just need an air-tank so it wont run a all times. One thing I've learned is to have a very steady hand. And maybe a Badger 175 when I have learned more. Then it's off to airbrush my car cars just to learn what curvature can do to an image.

Please share your knowledge. I beg you.

    Stefan
