I'll explain the thing more when I have its other part made.
The thing is what hurt me since it got stuck on the drill bit while I was holding it. It spun around and the sharp edges on it gouged my finger.

Luckily I learned my lesson about clamping workpieces without the loss of blood. :p

No, that's already finished. See previous page.

Edit: Yes it is the threading adapter.

Safety first! Wear gloves while operating machinery.

hmm, I wouldn't wear gloves while operating something like a drill press, not while doing stuff close to the rotating spindle at least. If the gloves get caught in the spindle it might take (part of) your hand off!! :waah:

Spinning bits have learned me to use clamps as well... Part of the time. Sometimes you just feel radical enough not to do what's wise ;) Those grey bits of plastic look a bit ghetto, but other than that good job. Really a shame what happened to the earlier versions.

Well, I screwed the pooch on the threading adapter peace and I have to start over on it. I forgot to mirror the holes on it to take into account that it's mounting on what becomes the underside of the card when installed on the machine.
So I have to print out some more templates and make another one.

I should be able to get it all done tomorrow.

Oh, and my finger is healing nicely.

Dude, great job! I really dig the look of everything. It looks like you could throw it off a balcony and it would be still intact (though I wouldn't reccommend it lol) Don't be cutting your fingers off! Wear protection or you won't be modding much of anthing:dremel::nono: Ha I can see it now for the next upate : "I accidentally cut my finger off today but a little JB Weld and some duct tape and I was back on track"

    Leak-testing the new loop now.

Fills and bleeds SO EASILY. The tubing also acts to support the video card.

    Plenty still left to do.

That's a tight fit, but it looks really cool :thumb: I really like the res sitting there, and the solution to run through the lower connection of the res.

Happy to one of the Oldschool AGP-Boards...

Do I see it right, the Reservoir is only held by the hoses? Isn't it to heavy?

The reservoir doesn't weigh very much. And you have to take into account that it's basically anchored to the case by its connections to the radiator and the pump.
The machine is now mostly together. I got the operating system and software installed and did test loops to make sure all the hardware is working. Everything works fine.
I haven't gotten around to making a replacement bay-and-cord cover yet.
