Graphics Yet another what GPU thread...

    My PC's being upgraded thanks to its warranty, and my dead X800XL is apparantly being swapped for an 8600 GT now, even though I was told it was going to be an 8800 GT.

    Anyway, after thinking it over, I've been told that I can have this upgraded to whatever, as long as I front the differance.

    AT the mo. I'm using a 19" but I will hopefully be on a 22" Samsung soon, so what Is it worth getting then? I havn't really got that much more to put on top, so my choices are really...:

    8600GT/S
    8800 GT/S
    3850
    3870

    So, what to choose?

    What kind of price difference would you be looking at if you went with the 8800GT, or any of them for that matter?

    Best bang for buck card around, worth the investement.

    Unless you're like me and have no sense of the value of money, and as a result, very little left :(
