You might get lucky at your local Toys R Us. I hear they're stocking the Eee now (if they have any left!)

Totally offtopic, but what is Aberdeen _really_ like?
From a studying point of view.

Grey, with horrible accents. Great nightlife, lots of students. Grey. Did I mention it's grey? It is. Also the oil capital of Scotland, and perhaps the UK - so the folk can feel quite...industrial. Pretty good uni though, and reasonably old (think it's around 400-500 years old).

I feel quite bad for returning my spare EeePC to Misco now, so many people I coulda helped out for cost. If it helps any, what I did was ordered one from play, one from scan, and one from misco. Two places got stock in on the same day, so I cancelled the Play one, and returned the Misco one. It may be a bit of a messy way of doing things (and you need a fair bit in the bank to be sure things wont go badly) but in the end you're most likely to get one soonest.

Quite a sly idea that tbh.
I would probably go that route if I was super-desperate to get one but I can wait a while.
Probably better for my studies that I don't get one tbh... :D

    I personally really like aberdeen.
It is often described as grey due to the large amount of granite used in most buildings, perticularly in the main street etc.
However, its only grey if its raining and overcast.
If its sunny and clear (which it is sometimes :D) its more silver with lots of the granite glinting in the sun.

The locals are usually pretty friendly (I know I am :D) though there are quite a few peasants around too.
But show me any city free of peasants/chavs/neds/townies/pikies/etc and I'll eat my hat. :D

As has been said, Aberdeen is the oil capital of the UK, so it has quite a broad range of people due to this.
Some really rich some really poor.
Loads of foreigners which I think makes a nice blend.
Most of my class at uni are either indian or nigerian, but there's french and chinese too.
There's even two Scotsmen (and one of them is me). :D

    The uni's are good here.
Aberdeen is pretty old and has a great heritage but RGU is the one I go to.
There's a bit of rivalry between them, since RGU is a former polytechnic.
RGU has much better employment prospects though and in some recent rankings surveys it was comparable to Cambridge for some things.
Can't say fairer than that tbh. :)

Also, Aberdeen has amazing countryside right outside it.
30 mins drive and you can be halfway up a mountain.
Regular cheap flights to London if you want to travel further afield.
Just big enough to have everything you need (Cinema, theatre, shopping etc) but not so big it seems like its sprawling out of control and you can't breathe for smog.

    So, I'd personally recommend Aberdeen.
Lived here all my life (though I am pretty well travelled through work and personal trips) and I'm always glad to get back to Aberdeen.
    Hope that helps.

If you have any other questions, feel free to PM me. ;)

That pretty much answered all my possible future questions also. Thank you everyone!
Just asking because I applied to study in Scottish unis, although I haven't got a reply from Aberdeen yet...
