Well apparently... http://thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article713438.ece http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/science/article3232035.ece Looks very lady like, but the detail isn't great, personally it looks more like a statue than anything else, but it could be a shadow on the figure. Whatever it is (hopefully it's life), it's interesting! Edit: Actually when zoomed in, you can possibly see features of the human body.
It sure looks a whole lot like someone took the famous file of bigfoot photochopped him out and pasted him on the mars pic.
I had to do a double take. Not at the picture, mind you. I had to make sure that this thread did, indeed, have the 'serious' tag. Surely this is humor? -monkey
I say it's this: "Osama Bin Laden waving from his barren hideout 300 million miles from planet earth" maybe thats where he kept the weapons of mass destruction
lmfao, so true. What a complete and utter load of bollocks tbh. You'd have thought they'd have a better camera wouldnt you? 10MP cameras are cheap these days, I've seen better quality web cams. lolzor P2D
lol, yes, but the land rovers have been there for a few years now. its not like they can just send one up in a care package. edit: since 2003 actually, and the pic shown here is really, really, really, zoomed in.
It'd be nice if it was true. but its not. lol doesn't look like a shadow but a silhouette of some kind. big foot it looks. no doubt photoshop. another thing, if there was life any were in our solar system, or any were els, we wouldn't be told. least not in America. they'd try to shelter us from it.
You know, when you zoom in all the way on it like that, it really does look human. Of course, when you zoom out and look at the whole picture, you realize it's just the shadowed side of a rock. However, it's not Photoshopped. It's just a tricky shadow. If you're talking about the foreground of the picture, I believe it's part of the lander that brought the rovers to the surface of Mars - that must be one of the very first pictures taken upon arrival.
Then you would have realised that IT'S JUST A PICTURE OF A ROCK. Dammit people, seriously. Lol, that's the solar panels XD Edit: Mars looks really cool.
Beaten too it i was going to suggest the patio laid near the lander was a better indicator than the rock shadow. Still its quite a cool photo.
^^ LOL Seriously, we've been there before. Remember the "Face on Mars"? Human brains are wired to see patterns in random shadows. Oh, look, a face. A woman. A Starbucks outlet (well, the last could be true...). The patio in the foreground is the Mars Explorer solar panel. It is pretty dusty so I'd guess the photo is recent.
They install windscreen wipers on them these days. After they discovered that solar panels covered in dust don't work too well.
Funny how people are so attached to finding life on Mars. I for one would love to go to Mars but I doubt we'll see anyone going there anytime soon.
I just love how in the above photo, the sky is blue. Why to they always insist on editing the colour pallets in these photos? Everyone knows the sky is pink on Mars. Edit: Apparently those photos are 4 years old. Although that's from the Sun's website, so hmmm.
