Scratch Build – In Progress My Desk MOD (Update 3-10-2008)

So this has been bugging me for a while and i got them honey do on hold for a while.
So I thought I would take care of it today, tell me what you guys think.

i like the organization, and how nothing is touching the floor.

 

Nice job, a big thumbs up on the desk idea great use of common supplies to make that frame!

 

see, this is why i'm doing a combined desk/PC mod (see link in signature)

People spend ages (and fortunes) in cable management INSIDE a case. Then they junt the case on the cheapest ikea POS table they can find, and have a ton of differently colored wires running in all directions. That just doesn't add up IMHO
This is some good work mate, lots of visual improvement with minimum effort and money spent

 

I think ur sub woofer is suposed to be on ground... for better sound...

 

I dont like the way the PC case leans on its shelf. I'd thing about adding something to make it more vertical and look less unstable.

 

cables look a LOT better

Its neat the way you mounted everything underneath there but wont all that weight make your desk sag?

 

To me it does not effect the way it sounds at all, my wife plays music all the time and I have to kick he off of it because she like the way it sounds better than her computer.

Yeha, That bug me as well, to tell the truth i forgot to get the part to fix that, i going to add some 90's to the PC self.

It does sag a little but I think I have a solution for that.

I will be fixing that later this week.

 

Needed a Drawer so I made one.

 

Also added some trim.
