http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2008/02/04/wii_super_smash_bros_brawl_clean/ lol blaming cig smoke for the poor performance of their big game. Must have taken them a while to think of that one.
This I would classify under common sense. Friggin' morons. If you can see smoke, there are particles in it, right? Hell, there are particles in air, but that's just splitting hairs.
If you've seen the inside of a smoker's car, it's perfectly reasonable for this to happen tbh. It is a slight design flaw, but with a perfectly reasonable cause.
I had to clean a lens on my pubs old style projector (three bulbs) I took a damp cloth over one of them and made a few mm indentation in the tobaco that had accumulated on the thing, it was horrible.
Up until now I have never heard of smokers being blamed for something like this? How do they know the user's complaining are smokers?
If you've ever took anything from a smoker's house and took it to a non-smoking area you know where it came from.
If only the microsoft boffins had thought of this for the reason for the red ring of death. And before anyone points out that non-smokers experience the red ring of death, I expect to see non-smokers experiencing this problem with there wiis in the next couple of months
Thats what kinda stumps me. Nintendo just blankets the issue as a smoker issue....and the folks at kotaku just readily accepted such an excuse, as if non-smokers experiencing the problem were all smoking at the time their games had issues lol.
I remove dead skin and hair from my computer fans each week ..also called DUST. I don't see why tobaco smoke should be any different.
Probably because you don't shed tar and nicotine lol. Seems a bit of a far fetched claim tbh. But then that's coming from a smoker
I have seen computer fans stop because of dust mixed with tar and nicotine. It's friggin' disgusting! I have no problems believing that a lens could fail because of some tar buildup.
As a smoker, I can't imagine why anyone would really want to smoke inside a house... It does get freakin disgusting.
I read somewhere the new Super Smash Bros Brawl CD uses a different kind of coating or something along the lines of that, so it's affected by the smoke.
it makes sense to me. I have moved into apartments after smokers have lived in them. everything has a residue and is slightly yellow. I woked at a casino once that had seperate break rooms for smokers and non smokers. everything in the smoke room was tainted yellow while the non smoke room was nice and clean.
