    Avast ye.

I had hell of a lot of issues with the rig, and I still have one big one.

I cannot for the love of God run games fullscreen without one and the same issue in everyone of them: red on the screen. There are low opacity redbars on screen.
-does not matter what game (Crysis, Gears of War, SplinterCell DoubleAgent, you name it.)
    -problem always looks the same
-resolution does not matter, nor does ammount of ingame detail or anything else
-problem is solved by not running the game full screen, and sofar only by that

    Sys spec:
Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit (newest bla bla installed)
GeForce 8800GTS 512 SLi (newest forceware) (tested also with 8800GT in SLi)
Asus Striker Extreme with Q6600 (CPU has a Thermalright Ultima 90I) (newest BIOS)
    Geil DDR2 Ultra 800MHz (4X1GB)
    Antec 800W PSU

Have you tried testing without the cards in SLI?

Yes I have, it solves the problem....and it could be just me, but I think I got better performance too.

Personally, I've never run SLI because I've heard the drivers are pretty flakey - especially so for Vista.
Sounds like the drivers are at fault to me. Perhaps emailing NVIDIA might be in order?

Are they like other big cheese companies that send an automated "thanks for caring, we will get back to you when hell freezes over" I will see if they have a hotline or something, looks as this might be my only solution for now....

And thanks mate for the help in this and my last thread:clap:

I swear....I have never had as many tech problems in my entire lifetime, as with ONE Vista equiped PC. And I got two.

Have you tried each card independently? This should show if one of the cards is on the blink. And try each card in each PCI-Ex16 slot independently as well; this should eliminate the possiblity of a dodgy PCI-Ex lane on the mobo.

What was the result of your testing with the pair of 8800gt?
