Thank you Peter, your work inspired me to start this project. I remember when I saw your ORAC for a first time - it is a work of art!
All the details, clean finishing, colors, components - it all worked so amazing together! That is why I wanted to just try to do something like your ORAC, cause I know it never will be as good as your build
There is still a lot of work to be done, and I have to admit - acrylic is not an easy material to work with, so it will take some time till I finish it, but I'm so happy that you have seen it It also sucked a lot of money, cause I had to buy all the tools I didn't have, but it was worth it! The feeling when I hold a piece of acrylic in my hand and I already see the new part that will be made of it... This is my first mod, but already know it will not be the last

phinix, when are you done ? and how many hours do you have spend ? asking cuz you haven´t answered zwiks.

 

Don't know when this will be done - I work a lot, I wish I had more time to spend on this project, but it is going in right direction, a lot was done, a few things need to be done.
How many hours? Hard to say - I started to plan last year, this is my first mod ever, planning took me a lot a time, because didn't want to spend a lot of money on mistakes
The most important in projects like this is to plan everything and do not rush, cause mistakes happen often when you didn't think over all the possibilities.
I have to say the most time consuming part was sanding.. acrylic is VERY HARD material to work with, but it look sbeautiful when the finish is made properly.
Plus this is my first time playing with water, so hopefuly everything will end up ok...

 

New week starting... any updates?

 

I will update soon, cause I'm working on drive cage and front panel..
