    small updating.........
I am completing the second side panel.....
Seem me to realize a puzzle.... all the pieces have to perfectly fit..... now these small bricks........

will must be inserts in the empty spaces......

I don't tell you the patience (by now endless) to be able to realize them.....
    And here is the result......

In the preceding posts I had said that I would begun the towers but I have been forced to do instead first the side panel to be able to take the exact measure of where the first curved bricks of the towers must be put in the intersection with the two panels.....

Here finally completed the side panel where it will go to the inside a symbol of lord of the rings.............

From tomorrow we will go to the assault to the towers making the little curved bricks this it is a part of those that i must to do(it becames a nightmare).....

This wooden separator has been employed for being able to have the measure to lead of the tower because previously after the cut the plastic subject missing didn't have the same diameter anymore as above and therefore twisted result.........

The castle begins to take life.......

we have stamped crowd you to him of the window of our tower....... I wanted a wood that simulated the old one and I hopes to have succeeded there, after having carved the wood with a blade of the hack-saw and I have made a base with some black chaos, brown scorched and of the codec grey (colors ciutadel gamesworkshop)
Then I begun to clear with a fortress grey, brown scorched and sunburst yellow and with the usual technique of the dry brush I have gotten these results

here is the final application to the tower..... don't look the dribbles of glue they will be eliminated with the application of musk or ivy....... as you can see the application it is asymmetrical and not perfect to create an effect of deterioration faulted to the time......

And now a new updating......first the flag of the tower painted with the Pantone pen.

After I have begun the process of aging of the tiles with a mixture of a lot of water and black chaos and little by little with an abrasive sponge I have removed the black in excess on the summit of the tiles...... after a myriad of tests I have found the correct coloration.

then I painted the inside part of roof with the black enamel , so that not to make to filter the light that comes from the inside of the tower.....

then I have put some musk to make it more realistic and to hide the glue
and finally the fixative which from also an appearance of wet to the tiles.

with a common drill by hand beginning to make the hole to be able to put the auction of the flag.......
meanwhile my son looking the work.....

then in a copper auction I will put it in the hole just realized and glued, to the summit of it I put a gum cut by a pencil..... the then all has been painted of black.........

then I taken the sheet of paper oleographic where I have drawn and painted the flag and with the usual solution of water and black chaos I have darkened and grown old the flag , then with the flame of a lighter I have slightly burnt the sides to make the idea of unravelling and ripple of the same flag....... then a correct folding to make the idea of the fluttering and the game is made...... but how sweaty........

    Stay tuned......

WOW, read through the thread and in the very first beginning I was abit doubtful. But then I saw all the patience for the details. Stunned. Keep up with it.
I'll keep an eye on it.

DUDE! I haven't seen this one around for some time but, MAN, WHAT PROGRESS!!!!

I was also a bit doughtful at first. Now after seeing the effort that has gone into that detail...WOW...I understand why it took so long.

Keep the updates coming I think this is going to turn out to be a real stunner!

Hallo guys,I have conceived a way to make the most solid roof to the tower being supported only and therefore to risk of collapses.....
I have purchased from the brico a sheet of resistant acetate and made the first measures I have cut him with a cutter.....

After I have gotten a kept cylinder with some clips.....

Then supporting it in the tower I have taken the measure with the roof so that is seen also a few the laces considering that they have come well....

subsequently I glue it to the roof putting a little strip of light cardboard on the acetate sheet and making some small cuts so that to favor the adherence to the same roof and I have glued the everything.....

I have painted everything with the black for not to see the white of the cardboard....

    The final result.......

    Stay tuned.......

While I found LOTR as boring as batsh*t I can't help but marvel at the effort and detail you've put into this build. I've always admired the detail and skill mini-modellers put into their creations. I love how your family is helping as well. Keep up the good work.

Are you going to be including some LOTR figurines as well in the castle?
