Great progress eXplode! Can't help you with the bondo question (sorry), but how about just shaping some wood or sheet metal and attach that.
I think that I might have to agree with Angel on the corners.. 45° looks good!

This is a really interesting project. I love seeing ppl create stuff from scratch! Keep it up!

    Thx dude!

Thx 4 da bondo info, i wont take chances with only bondo, ill use whole pipe pieces too. I agree 45° is kinda kewl, but it draws on tekky look wich i dont wont on this mod. On mum i like smoothness!!

OT: Damn man u really got like tons of patience with that apple mod of urs :) . Did anyone told u that u look like RIDDICK!!! (Vin Diesel.) - on that avatar :D

Thx man. I realy like going from scratch. It gives u much more freedom to do whateva u imagine.

    and now update:

    The pipe is plastic ...

I cut it with saw for metal.

    They multiply :p

    sanding with belt sander...

and under 45° for beter fitting

I'll fill tube with bondo, then glue and screw it alltogether...

Thats gonna wait for tommorow, cos i wont to do it outside (bondo smells).

    L8ter guys!!!

    Thx man!

    Bondo action:

1st i washed tube in hot water for bodo to hold better..

Then i have put wooden piece to serve as armature and to provide strenth for screws..

    mixing bondo...

    and filling it up...

I left it to dry 4 24 hrs, than sanded it to straighten up...

    screw holes (through wooden piece)...

I applied glue on both surfaces....

and then screwed it in... and bondo it all...

    thats it 4 now...

    Hello guys...

The thing is that i needed to finish this mod asap, cose there r some changes commin in my life... possible mooving and so... if i move there is no basement and no workshop anymore... so i stopped taking pictures and logging to get it done... Its not 100% done yet... but i can give u some sugar.... Some things i rushed, and some things i skipped...

Ihope u like it!!! I'm Loving it!!!

Sound dumpenig went well. Hdd's are totaly silent... i dont hear difference when i go to standby.... (but now i hear my lcd :/) Insides are very acessible.. Cabling job is not perfect... well some psu wires are 5 cm too short to hide all cables... Air tunnels failed, cos those condenzators on my gfx were in the way of airflow... so i removed tunels.... There is almost no paint on outside wich is very good cosi im not too good with profi paint jobs. I used wallpaper for furniture.... - like stickers... the one with brushed alu finis, and the matte black one. Plexy gave it nice finishing touch.... And the last thing to do is to mask that optic drives... then it will be perfect 4 me!!! well almost perfect, it's heavy as hell :D:D

Looks really nice, good that you get it done before moving.

    When i was looking this:
I noticed that it's not painted. Sounds very usefull method, cuz i suck at paint jobs too. :)

It looks great. I like the sides and the curved corners.
