Great thanks for all the wishes and positive feedbacks!

Another little update: look what today came in:

    It is so small...

My brand new slimline slot-in dvd for sweet little cube:)
This is how I'm going to mount it: red acrylic strips will be screwed to the top panel with nice shiny bolts.. Here's a small series of sketches...

Taped new dvd with chrome film and cut and polished those holding strips. It's hard to show real colour of plexi, especially when light is pretty bad. Even that dvd doesn't look like it really looks;)

...and with flash it even looks kinda orange...:(

Small update - sketches only .. for now:) I will show some moves next week...
After deciding to move dvd to the bottom...

here is how I'm gonna light up few things on lower level - dvd and PSU will have red acrylic plate below them - iluminated with leds from the inside so their edges will glow... I know.. sweet...:)

and where is how I had to modify drive cage to mount dvd at the bottom.... small feet... happy feet...;)

Another update - this time - front panel sketches...

I've been working on my front panel lately.. I'm pretty bored now at work so played with Sketchup a bit...

Like I mentioned before - center of the panel is that chromed ring with 6 reqtangular red leds, same as Crysis logo which I love....:)
Center of that ring will be covered with black mesh and behind that there will be leds attached to rec acrylic lightning it from the edges... I hope it will look as pretty as it sounds :)

    Everything started from measurements..

Option 1 - top buttons in different order..

    Option 2 - buttons changed

...and the final, cube with front panel... You can see here what I'm going to do in the middle - it is that chrome ring with LEDs aka Crysis:)

Just curious...can you add the fans to the front panel to see how it would look?

I'm planning to add 3 switches to the front..
How does it look like? ok?

They gonna switch on/off led loops - under cube, inside psu and dvd led-loops and front ring leds...
Or should I just put them on the back of the case to prevent ruining front look?

Great work, you are really pushing the limits with the dimensions of the case.I think it looks ok with the switches.

    Regards.

    Great:) Thank you guys!:)
I was affraid that those switches won't match with the whole slick idea...
Those 3 holes above swithces are knobs from that controller I bought - I put photos a few pages before. I'm going to reallign those knobs and get rid of those 2xUSB. Another I/O panel I bought - Solverstone one, I'm going to mount on the right panel - it has 4xUSB (that is why I do not need them on the front), mic in and audio out, 1xFireWire.

    UPDATE TIME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    UPDATE TIME !!! (...finally...!!!)

I cut from red plexi small feet, showed that before. Drilled holes for bolts and tried them on.

Then I sanded them and polished edges...

After radiator feet I came back to drive cage. Measured evertything and cut two equal panels with my tristy dremel:)

These are those aluminium pipes that will hold both panels together and hdds will hang on them using velcro tapes... I cut them again, using dremel... my cutting wheel got smaller a bit after that process:)

I drilled holes for pipes in panels...

Then had to drill those pipes and thread them - this is PAIN IN THE ASS!!! I had to do it in my hands, have no clamps or anything like that...:(

Like I mentioned before chroming is very expensive. SO decided to cover those pipes with chrome effect vinyl tape...
How I did that??? Cut small strips of vinyl and roll those pipes through !! EASY !!!:D

    They look amazing !!!

Then I cut small feet for drive cage - to stand it up above dvd...

    ...and now...

    Finished DRIVE CAGE....

    ...

    Here you go...
