Amazing design you've got there, I'll definitely be watching this one closely.

Although I'm also hoping you'll finish your other mod as well, I've been watching that carefully as well.

Keep up the good work and slap some red acrylic between those metal sheets, can't wait to see how that looks in real life (well photograph, but still :hehe:).

@MiLwOrkZ : thanks for the advise, i'll try it, if I'm going to haveit in raw steel.

    Update 3

today I made one of the front panel.

First I fasten the shield to it :

    And the second:

I'm not going to use theses fans, I will use red acryan fans.
then I just put it on the case to see how it looks :

Gun Oil once applied, does not leave the surface oily as some may think. It actually binds it self to the metal and prevents rust from occuring. Over time it will have to be re-applied, but not like every 6 months. If the first application is laid generously.

Con To Gun Oil- Expensive in large quantities.

Never heard of something being "blued", unless this is reference towards the black or grey powdercoating that they do to the weapons.

Blueing is another gunsmith term. A couple I know about are actual hot tank blueing and another is called brown blueing or browning - which is used on replicate the finish on muzzle loaders and black powder guns. My little brother is a Class 3 gun dealer. He knows things.

I love your mod GTR and hope to see it finished , but this
build just looks awesome ....... I'll be watching this one.....:thumb:

if you get it powder coated you should try to get the color very
close to the color it has now because I think that it would work great
with the red acrylic you have planned for it.......

    Thanks all!

    @ r4tch3t : the laser cuts costed 483.- CHF , that's around 603 NZD.

Of course I will finish the GTR but for now I'm working on this project.

    Update 4

I wanted to post this update yesterday but i couldn't find my camera.
Anyway yesterday I made the top panel and the side panel. I'm going to let the photos speak for them self
