Basically I have an Antec Trilight case fan and after reading some of the posts here, I am reluctant to stick on my rheobus as I don't want it to get damaged. So, on that note, does anyone know of a UK supplier of pre-built PWM fan controllers? Or, does anyone know of a straightforward how-to guide to build my own without using printed boards etc?

I am sure sadly you cant buy em here,

but there relatively simple to make, but it is easier if you have a PCB for them,

you can just use board from mappers, thatd work well,

its much easier to work o na PCB than not, for a newb like me, its easy to lay it out 'like in the pictures' and do it that way,

but in one of the many other LED fan threads, ther is a simple fix to your problem

Cryptic!!!! :eyebrow: I see it now.... interesting solution.

Just a thought. My rheobus will have an on/off switch in addition to each rheostat/LM317. Would running the trilight thru the rheo at full power be a problem as that way I could atleast turn the fan off if I wanted to? I know the rheo will only allow 10.75v to pass thru it so would this have any side effects? I assume the other posts about the use of a LED fan on a rheobus were meaing running the fan at 7v or something similar would damage it... just a thought.

I might attempt using a PCB but it looks rather delicate work for a cack handed oaf like myself. :D

Yeah it seems a fairly sensible solution to me. The Antecs have the lovely braided cables tho... seems a shame to vandalise it.

Maplin do one, RN41U @ £15, should fit a drive bay faceplate(34mmx27mm), or for a simple diy (not so refained but cheaper than macroman's), a veroboard circuit

What do you reckon I would need to do to that cool gizmo from Maplin for use with my PC? Or would a couple of molexs and a nice knob be enough? :worried:

they were out of UltraMR II so i had no choice. Reviewmakers.com the carrier doesn't even know when they will even get the UltraMR II. Maybe next year or so...

not too sure, but many shops in Singapore's Sim Lim Square carries them.

    Wolfman's (from Virtual-Hideout.net) shop carries them. http://www.csolutions.com.sg/

Many sites carries them, mostly which are from Singapore. Perhaps u can check out Natriumtech's webby and send a email to the Natriumtech folks.

    Wow!:eeek:
I like the looks of that Ultra DM.
How do I get some more details?
Like if the lcd can be used with LCDC to do anything other than show fan speed?

Perhaps u can visit the community forums of Natriumtech and PM SGStealth fore more information. Do be forewarned that there is much crazy and wacky singapore lingo going on in there

btw, that casing above is Wolfman's. (Wolfman from VH)

Everyone loves you Macro. We're just too lazy to become you. :D .

BTW, I like the UltraMR II with backlight a lot, but good luck trying to get one. I also don't like how they mounted it to the face plate. Of course I am a simplistic kind of guy, I don't like bolts hanging out of my facia =).
