Even when I know where it was and what I am looking for I can still only just make it out. I would never have noticed it had it not been pointed out.

But seriously, you'd think they would have their own images of their game?!?

It's obviously a subliminal IGN advert.

Why would they do that when they own the rights to that artwork!

I'd say that's pretty hard to see. You'd have to be seriously going over that photo to see that.

I remember some DS game had a iStock watermark across one of their cover pictures.

i can see why someone wouldn't spot it, i mean i was told where it was and still had a job seeing it

But what i (and lots of other people it seems) don't understand is, why on earth are they even using an image from IGN in the first place

If capcom watermarked an image to send to IGN, then inadvertently used that image rather than the 'clean' original version it makes more sense. Perhaps someone saved the watermarked version, rather than saving as a new file name, overwriting the original.

As always, the power of Photoshop makes things clear(er)

The top image is the very same one Bit-Tech used in their news story (With the levels played with a touch), and underneath is a cropped screenshot (of "Grid" on the XBox 360) showing their Watermark on a much darker background.

Seriously why didn't they edit that out very well? It's really easy to do. I can even do it.

yah I'm just curious on why they would use a compressed image from IGN when they probably have the hi res lossless originals. what probably happened is the image got tossed in with a large pack of images that went down to NEOgaf and the artist just grabbed which ever one caught the eye and used it as the cover. I doubt foul play is at work here.

Still makes me wonder why they are using a screen grab from a internet site

I pre-ordered the game and am about to go pick it up, it'll be a real laugh if this is really on my copy.
