    True.

The main thing I want to know is, most houses are fused so the upstairs plugs are on a different fuse from the ones downstairs, so does this matter?

I use the Devolo 200Mbps adapters, one upstairs, one down so they're on different fuses. I get 8MBps compared to 9.5MBps over 100Mb ethernet. Bought mine from an eBay shop and got £30 off the retail price :) They're great, can't believe I waited so long to buy them!

Nope, doesn't matter - but it will effect the speeds you get the more wire is between each point obviously.

Exactly the same even bought on ebay, tho i think i get slightly faster speeds.

Back on track, i would definately recommend them, however i would say they seem to be produce very different results for different people, some people seem to swear by them (like me) some people seem to hate them. Depends what your wiring is like at the end of the day tbh.

Used xbox live over them (router upstairs, xbox downstairs) for about a year now and iv NEVER had any trouble with it.

    hope this helps

If my neighbour uses these can I use his internet connection and will it be faster than his current 54Mbps WiFi signal?
