So I just went to login to post something, since I came along for some help (separate thread, see elsewhere), but noticed this: Welcome, Phil. You last visited: 18-10-2002 at 19:55 I last logged in 5 and a half years ago Been gone too long.
Well yes, but we've since replaced your hamsters with critters that are slightly more efficient at powering the tubes (lolcats, of course).
I've been on the Internet too long. I still remember the days of 9600bps modems, hotmail before Microsoft owned it, and leaving the PC on all night to download a 3 minute video half the resolution of what you get on youtube these days... ahh, the good old days.
I think there may have even been intrnet before 2002, but thing is thanks to the internet I can't even remember back that far.
My Black YY server cube (total clone of Koolvin's) has lasted me well so far but I'm getting sick of the bulk of the thing, as I keep lugging it around to LAN parties. I mean, I have a car, and it has wheels, but you can drive/wheel it everywhere. It has room for many, many hard drives, and over time I've filled it with many. It's so goddamned heavy now. So I'm building a lightweight compact gaming PC, and came back here for ideas.
